1. The results of this study suggests that the leaf extracts increase tensile strength by increasing fibroplasia, differentiation of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts, and increased collagen deposition and maturation. This study further validates the use of the Bulbine leaf gels for the treatment of skin wounds.

ALOE VERA
2. a review of experimental studies found that aloe vera could reduce the healing time of burns by around 9 days compared with conventional medication. It also helped prevent redness, itching, and infections.

3. It seems likely that A.V. 2% oral gel is not only effective in decreasing the recurrent aphthous stomatitis patients’ pain score and wound size but also decreases the aphthous wound healing period.

4. It may improve skin and prevent wrinkles
There is some preliminary evidence to suggest that topical aloe vera gel can slow aging of the skin. PAPAYA
12. Recently, many studies have been reported that natural plant products have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory effects. Thus, they are used as medicines in skin diseases. In this study the anti-photoaging effects of Carica papaya leaf on UVB-irradiated NHDFs was examined. Ultraviolet B irradiation increased ROS production while CPL decreased it. Since Carica papaya leaf had strong antioxidant activity, its effect on skin aging was promising. Recent scientific data suggests that papaya leaf may be useful in fighting cancer. Carica papaya leaf is promising for further investigation and development of a cosmetic product for treating various skin conditions including photoaging.

ROOIBOS
14. The findings of this study demonstrated for the first time the application of linearthin and other chalcone derivatives from rooibos to protect human-derived skin cells from excessive ROS generated by UVB exposure in vitro. The isolates used in this study can improve cell viability and inhibit apoptosis induced by UVB exposure by likely exploiting pathways associated with the established antioxidant properties of rooibos. We show that isolates reduced biomarkers associated with lipid oxidative damage and improved the oxidative status of the cell. Thus, linearthin and other chalcone derivatives can be beneficial in protecting against the harmful effects of solar UVB radiation and consequent oxidative stress in humans.

MYRRH

The findings of this investigation support the valuable anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory activity of myrrh; in addition, the wound healing properties could be attributed to its ability to modulate macrophage function. Using in vitro testing, our results revealed that myrrh had an anti-cancer effect against several cancer cell lines and an immunomodulatory effect with acceptable ADME properties.
